More than 500 worshippers descended upon tiny Langley Green Mosque for Ramadan prayers - with many forced to pray in the cark park.
Today (September 26) is the last Friday of Ramadan and one of the most important dates in the Muslim lunar calendar.
Langley Green Mosque, on Martyrs Avenue, is bursting at the seams due to the growth of the town's Islamic community.
A spokesman for the Mosque said today that plans will be submitted next week for a new mosque on the same site.
The Mosque's committee had originally hoped to move to a site a few hundred metres away - which was since set aside for the new mental health hospital.
The spokesman said: "We are lucky it didn't rain today because so many people had to pray outside."
