YOUTH FOOTBALL: It was the first of several very high scores for the Three Bridges Youth teams this week as the Sussex Sunday U16 team beat Littlehampton Town 12-2 in the first round of the John Davey Challenge Cup.
Harry Stockwell netted the first of his three goals after five minutes and by half-time, Three Bridges were 5-1 up.
Ollie Gill hit a hat-trick with a brace coming from Jordan Mase and Billy Towning.
A single goal each from Ashley Mutongerwa and Joshua Benham meant Three Bridges came away clear winners despite gifting the opposition a goal from a deflected corner.
Sussex Sunday U15 inflicted a huge 14-2 defeat upon Hassocks Juniors to move into the second round of the Stan Beattie Memorial Trophy.

The Sussex Sunday U14 team went out of the League knock-out in a close match having been beaten 4-3 by Worthing Town. Nathan Pritchard scored after five minutes and then Derrick Kabogoza added one in each half.
With all teams involved in Cup matches, the team remain top of division two.
Surrey Youth U13 Colts team were beaten 5-1 by a strong Leatherhead Youth team.
Mid Sussex U13 Youth team suffered a crushing 7-0 defeat by Cuckfield Cosmos, who are unbeaten and top of division one.
During the week, Monotype Juniors won their first points of the season with a 3-1 home win over Mid Sussex U13 Black team.
The Mid Sussex U13 Black team were in action again, losing 5-0 to Crowborough Athletic at the weekend.
It was a resounding win for Horsham U12 Youth team at the weekend against Royal United in the first round of the League Memorial Cup.
Joshua Neathey scored five goals with two goals each for Taylor Dixon, Callum Rolph and Henry Taylor.
Further important single goals were scored by Connor Reid, Danyal Hussein, Alex Eagle and Connor Donnaghey.
Sussex Sunday U12 Colts team were brought down to earth after a 4-2 defeat by Ratton Rangers. Reid Jenden and Harry New scored the two goals.
